Donate Clothes 4 Sammy: Raising funds for your school and supporting a vital cause

Donate Clothes 4 Sammy offers 45p per kilo for collected pre-loved clothing, plus you’ll raise 35p per kilo for Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK. Support your school and a great cause effortlessly!

This initiative was launched by Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK, a charity dedicated to finding cures for three major types of blood cancer. Sammy, the fennec fox, is the face of this mission – working to protect the environment, raise funds for local schools, and support life-saving cancer research.

The project also promotes textile recycling, an area where currently only a small percentage of clothing is reused, while millions of tonnes end up in landfills each year. By joining, your school can help tackle this problem while raising valuable funds and educating pupils about sustainability.

How it works – bags collection

• Bags provision – Donate Clothes 4 Sammy provides collection bags, a fence banner, indoor poster, brochures, and fun stickers for pupils.


• Distribution – Hand the bags out to parents. Pupils receive a Sammy sticker when they bring a donation.


• Collection – Their friendly, DBS-checked drivers collect the filled bags and issue a receipt with the total weight. They do not sort through clothing.


• Payment – Your school earns 45p per kilo, with payments made within 3 working days.


• Certificates – Donate Clothes 4 Sammy offers a Recycling Certificate (showing how much was collected and raised for your school) and a certificate from Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK (showing your contribution and total funds raised for the charity). These are available upon request and will be printed and posted to you – a great addition to your school’s achievement board!
