As an experienced Usborne Partner and PTA chair, Katie has helped get thousands of free books into both schools & nurseries and would love to help yours too!
Having been in partnership with Usborne since 2008, Katie has extensive experience and knowledge about Usborne Books. Katie is also a mum to three girls and chair of their primary school PTA so understands the challenges which they face.
Katie has worked with many schools & nurseries to encourage a love of reading, whilst raising much needed funds for new books. She can provide book fairs, sponsored reads, author visits or help with sourcing funding from local communities and businesses. She aims to make every event as easy as possible for both the school and PTA, organising everything for you other than the wish list of books!
She can also provide generous discounts if you’re looking to restock the library or purchase grotto or leavers gifts independently of an event.
Please get in touch with your requirements and she would love to start creating the perfect event for you and help you to secure lots of wonderful new books for your setting.
‘Katie loves Usborne Books and this enthusiasm for reading and books is transferred to the children. She kindly guides children towards books that she thinks the children will like and can afford. Her patience is endless as she waits for her young shoppers to part with their money.
Katie willingly helps the parents with their choice and nothing is too much trouble, when she does not have stock available she will order it and it arrives promptly and in immaculate condition.
Katie has helped the school build their library stock. She knows her books and the ones the school already has and the new titles available. She is welcome visitor to our school and we cannot recommend her enough.’

‘Katie provided a fabulous event for us at Guillemont Junior School which fired up the kid's love of reading and helped raise lots of money for the school. Her professional, extremely organised approach to the whole thing was just what we needed owing to the daily pressures of school life and so we would whole-heartedly recommend other schools take advantage of her passion for books and great service.’
